A Closer Look: Digital X-Ray and Ultrasound Diagnostics

When your pet isn’t feeling well, he or she can’t tell us why. Thankfully, the staff at Statesboro Bulloch Regional Veterinary Hospital knows what to look for and is equipped with the cutting-edge technology needed to diagnose your pet’s symptoms, even if the cause isn’t immediately apparent.

Our diagnostic services include both digital radiology (X-rays) and ultrasound, both of which allow us to provide optimum care for your pet when he or she needs it the most.

  • Digital Radiology — More commonly known as a digital X-ray, this diagnostic tool is a staple of modern veterinary care. Digital X-rays allow your veterinarian to properly evaluate bone and joint conditions, dental health, and kidney and bladder conditions. Digital X-rays use a very low dose of radiation, which is completely safe for your pet and typically requires no anesthesia.
  • Ultrasound — This diagnostic technology uses ultrasound waves, as opposed to radiation, and allows your veterinarian to see real-time images of your pet’s internal functions, including heartbeat, blood flow, and gestational health. This type of diagnostic testing is highly effective and allows us to help your pet quickly and painlessly.

This diagnostic technology enables us to better understand the scope of your pet’s illness and determine the best course of treatment for his or her condition right away.

If you feel that your pet is suffering, but don’t know why, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll be happy to take a closer look.
